The Work We Take On

Housing in this service area was mostly built between 1945 and 1993, with the median landing around 1968, so a large share of the doors and openers we work on are older torsion and extension setups that don't match what a big-box store stocks today.

We handle broken springs, cables, rollers, tracks that have worked loose, openers that have stopped responding, and panels that have taken a hit. We don't do new construction framing or structural garage work - if the opening itself needs rebuilding, that's a different trade and we'll tell you so up front rather than take the job anyway.

That covers Springfield about 2 miles off, Brownlee Park and Level Park-Oak Park around 5 miles, Augusta and Climax near 7 miles, Galesburg and South Gull Lake around 10 to 11 miles, Hickory Corners and Richland further out near 12 to 13 miles, and out to Union City, Olivet, Tekonsha, Portage, and Vicksburg toward the edge of our range.

With 21,247 owner-occupied houses spread across 21 named areas in this stretch, a lot of the homes we reach have similar original hardware from the same building era, which is part of why we can usually guess at the setup before we even get there. If you're farther out than the towns listed above, call anyway - we'll tell you straight if it's outside what we can reasonably cover that day.

Someone who answers the phone talks through the problem with you, then someone comes out and does the repair - there's no call center routing you somewhere else. We work on the doors and openers common to this area's housing stock, which skews older, and we carry parts sized for that rather than only newer hardware.
